Q - What can I do to make my hair look sleek and not frizzy when I dry it? |
A You can do a few things to fix this problem. You can use a product that helps reduce frizz by applying it to your hair before you blow dry it. You can also put a drop of a gloss or shine in your hair when it is dry. Be careful not to use too much product in your hair or it will become too heavy or oily

Q - I use a product to make my hair silky, but it sometimes makes it oily. |
A Be careful not to use too much when you are using a product that makes your hair silky. If you over apply it, the hair becomes oily. A great way to help eliminate frizz and make the hair silky is to go over your hair with cool air and a metal brush after it's dry. Most hair driers have a cool air button. This is a great way to help make the hair smooth and silky after its dry.

Q - My stylist says that my hair needs to be texturized. What does this mean? |
A Texturizing the hair means taking out weight and also cutting shorter pieces into the hair so it has more movement and looks softer. It really makes the hair flow better and makes the hair not so heavy and bulky.

Q - I have been going to the same hairstylist for a few years. I feel like I have had the same look for too long and it's outdated. What should I do? |
A - There are many ways to get volume. Let's start with products. You can use a volumzing gel, mouse or spray. Apply it to the root area and comb through or massage it into the scalp. One product that SalonSearch.com recommends is Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Sculpting Gel. Click here to locate a product near you. |
